On a way to Walter Pall’s garden, we stayed few days at our friend Matija Triglav in Slovenia, and split 1000 km long way in two parts. This has become tradition. We have talked about his excellent trees, and have brought with us some of our electric tools, so that he can try it. In his collection are mostly Prunus mahalebs, and also Pinus mugo, Picea abies, Carpinus oriantalis etc.
Matija’s blog you can find here: http://triglavbonsai-tijek.blogspot.com/
Mahalebs have strange character. We really like this type of material.
This Pinus mugo is impressive from all sides.
This Prunus mahaleb was too chaotic and optically heavy, so Matija has removed major part of the trunk, and make design more clear. It looks much better now.
One more Prunus mahaleb in excellent pot of Derek Aspinall (we are jealous!)
