Archives for the month of: November, 2010

This Oriental hornbeam is collected in March 2010. We have shorten branches, and repoted it into fine pot by John Pitt. We are going to wire tree for first time when leaves droped. Last three photos are taken today. Tree is placed in cold greenhouse, so leaves are still on tree. On trees outside falling has just starded in our climate.

Carpinus orientalis collected in March 2010.

After the first growing season we have removed unnecessary branches, and shorten crown. Also we have removed it from wooden box and planted into bonsai pot. Wiring will follow in Winter.

This Carpinus orientalis was collected 8 months ago.

The first growing season is finished, so we have removed some unnecessary branches and repotted it.

Walter, thanks again!

Here are few photos made and edited by Walter Pall.
We are very happy.

That was tree days of non stop work on trees, about 12 hours a day. Matija has come from Slovenia, but he was not guilty of that, the moving force was our dear friend and teacher Walter Pall. We were working on our collection from raw material to fine styling details on bonsai trees in advanced stage of development. Matija was working on few of his trees stored at our place, and helping us.  Here are some photos. On Saturday afternoon some friends interested in bonsai has come to watch.
