This Cornel (Cornus mas) we have collected on Christmas 2010. just before the lunch.
Cornels in nature usually have long trunks without movenemt and taper, and bad nebari. This tree has attracted us because of interesting nebari, deadwood and good taper.
Tree was collected in March 2009. It was very hard. At the end of growing season 2010. we have put it into bonsai pot. Tree needs larger pot in future, but this was best that we had at that moment. We are thinking about removing some branches, to siplify design, but it is left to decide later.
This Carpinus orientalis was collected in March 2010. This is his development since then.
Tree was collected in 2009. because of interesting twisted trunk. It starts getting shape.
