New species in our garden is Chaste Tree – Vitex agnus-castus, collected in winter 2011. Tree is one of the few Mediterranean members of an otherwise mainly tropical family of plants. As we know, this species is rare as bonsai.
Deadwood and moving are very interesting. It was impossible to collect it and save many fine roots, so this growing season we will let crown to grow freely, until roots recover.

This pistacia was collected in 2010. It looks very healthy, and it will be wired soon, and in late Autumn transplanted in the new pot.

We were very pleased when we have find this tree with a form of typical broadleaved tree. Few ugly air roots will be removed in future, but we have left it after collecting, until rootball recover. Tree is ready for the first styling.

One of new pistacias from the last season – 2010. Walter Pall told us that it looks like chinese penjing. We will wire it soon.

This is new hornbeam from this season. It is very unusual an powerful and we are very pleased with this tree.

This is Oriental hornbeam cascade with two twisted trunks. On workshop with Walter Pall we have remove all unnecessary branches and clear structure of future tree. This is second growing season in box for this tree, and in October we will repot it into appropriate bonsai pot.

One of the new trees, collected this winter – Oreintal hornbeam. The first cut back is done today.
