Mediterranean species can handle colder conditions for shorter time. In the greenhouse they are all well protected from cold dry winds also. So far the lowest night temperature in the greenhouse was – 1°C. We have heater if necessary. We are busy now by removing snow from the greenhouse roof regularly, to prevent overload.

You’re lucky to have a greenhouse. How will the mediterranean plants take that much cold? Olives and phillyreas in particular?
